I often go back over a movie and see more, and sometimes more and more and more, of the good things. This was filled with details I missed the first time I watched it.
Some things I had seen but missed the heart in it the first time around. Whose idea was it for Maggie to pick up the curl and then release it to the ground again toward the end? So many great hidden things in this film.
I loved the small town and the dancing - sort of a one-step type dance - and the hand clapping of everyone. I wanted to leave Half Moon Bay, California and live there. Thanks to all who made this and special thanks to Charles Dance for giving us all the life and lovin' we got because he saw and loved it first!
One person found this helpful. I loved this gentle, beautiful movie. But what I loved most was the music. Most of all I loved the hauntingly beautiful theme. I bought the album mainly for this peace. I have recorded it on my thumb drive for the car and I have been known to play the theme backing it up four or five times. Joshua plays with such feeling and heart. I wish there where more movies like this. Reminds me of the movies of the 40's, movies with heart.
Don't find them much anymore. On a recent cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona, there was a violinist who played the lovely song from this movie. This piqued my interest in the music so I bought my wife the CD. Please create a new list with a new name; move some items to a new or existing list; or delete some items.
