It even includes a couple videos from the album. Pretty Awsome in my book. Now I just need to find Live at faraway stables Complete with all the included original artwork. An overall review is much more informative so you should try it. Definitley, this t-b-t shows that you have potential to write out of tis format.

I really enjoyed this review, your writing style is neat. Album Rating: 4. It was great to see another side of them when all I thought out of them was another post-grunge act. Great album, I was actually going to review this, but you bet me to it. Nice review, but as other members have suggested, a overall album review style would hail your potential very well. Album Rating: 5. Also Daniel's voice on this album is the best yet. He paints this album with a huge spectrum of colors.

From the melodic 'tuna in the brine' and 'across the night' to the heavy and hard 'lever' and 'one way mule'. It may take some time for some people to adjust, but it is worth it. Lock yourself in your room, put it on the stereo, lie down and take it all in. It could take you places. Great album. Thankfully someone has done a decent job at it. The song borders on pure prog, and resembles Elvis Costello more than the old Silverchair. There's a bit of everything in it Also, you could mention the "hidden" song at about on "After all these Years".

It's a wonderful little piano solo that lasts for over a minute. But mostly this is a wonderful surprise from a band thought to have been finished in the late '90s. Being hesitant to give this a chance is perfectly understandable, but Silverchair has grown up and put together a fine mix of orchestral pop and rock on Diorama. The grandiose album opener, Across the Night, demonstrates the new form of Silverchair that Diorama shows off. Starting with just Daniel Johns and a harpsichord, he croons a song about restlessness and dreaming for love. After about 15 seconds, a full wind ensemble enters and takes the stage as the main instrumental theme throughout the song.4/5.

From March to June , Silverchair undertook the Across the Night Tour to perform Diorama. Their hometown performance on 19 April was recorded as Live from Faraway Stables for a 2×CD and 2xDVD released in November. After the tour finished in June the group announced an indefinite britpop.frostbrewjojolemaverad.infoinfo: Alternative rock, art rock, grunge (early).

Jan 26,  · Provides a great look into the writing process, the recording process, the band, and just about any aspect of Diorama. Diorama, the album itself, is one of the greatest peices of music I've ever heard. The DVD really captures what the band put into it. My only problem with this DVD is it's too short/5(6).
  5. Gurg says:
"Across the Night" was the fifth and final single released by rock band Silverchair from their fourth album, Diorama. It is the first track on Diorama, and is a major departure from their previous, grungy sound which was featured on Frogstomp, which was released in This more progressive type of songwriting is also present on Silverchair's latest album Young Modern. A video was created for the Label: Eleven/Virgin (Australia and South-East Asia).

Mar 31,  · On ’s Diorama, we find Silverchair’s meaty grunge riffs softening into beautiful piano ballads like “After All These Years.” “Across the Night” invites the listener into a luxurious expanse of sound, where Daniel Johns’ worn-in falsetto blends with layered horn and string arrangements by Van Dyke Parks.
